OS(hit)U

The Pokes and what glimmer of a hope they had for a BCS game took a serious hit over the weekend. Two weeks in and both Oklahoma schools have a loss in the books, and it would appear that Oklahoma State still has some serious defensive questions to answer heading into Big XII play. The other OSU Buckeyes and Tressle kept to form by finding away to lose another big game, and this time at home in front of 106,000. Now if we can just find a way for them not to win the Big 10 we won't have to suffer through another Buckeye BCS humiliation.

The Big XII went 6-4 this weekend, with two bad losses by CU and KSU, and a huge upset with the Cougars taking down OSU. Maybe it's the year of the Cougar, as both OU and OSU were defeated by Cougars. If i'm the AD at CU the only chance Hawkins has to keep his job is to win the Big XII North, and after the first two weeks I'd say he'll be lucky to win 3 games the remainder of the season.

The SEC went 2-1 in non-conference match-ups, as the upstart Vols hit a road block that was UCLA.

Conference play got started this week with Auburn running away from MSU, LSU sliding by Vandy, and UGA tipping a pass in the final moments to get by USC. The East side of this conference looks to be UF and a bunch of scrubs, but the west side of the SEC could be as wide open as it's ever been. So wide open that the winner of the West could very easily have 2 conference losses, as Ole Miss, LSU, Bama, and we'll now throw Auburn in the mix since they seem to have found some form of offense at the moment.

Ok Bill here I am....knew u were missing my great post...Have to say OK State screwed the pooch Sat...but have ya ever seen where everything just goes right for one team!?!? everything worked for the Cougars...some of it was just unbelievable...but UH deserved to win that game...they did outplay and outsmart OK State....As for THE Ohio State, they didnt show me much...yeah they hung in there with USC but you dont lose at home when ya got the other team backed up that far on their end of the field....So Tressle is getting as good as Stoops at losing big time games....Ok, you know i cant finish this up w/o mentioning the game in Austin this wkend....all i got to say is i know the Longhorns are out for revenge from last year and i hope my Red Raiders can go in there and prove they are still a good team (oh please lord dont let this be a blowout!..thank you) had to say a little prayer there....

  3. The Jacks got a little carried away, although part of me says it's the other teams job to stop them. As for the game in Austin this week it will have it's own little blog probably tomorrow or Thursday.
